Last week my wife Carmen and I visited the Powers for a couple of days. As many of you know, Mark and Susan built their retirement home in Georgia and moved there last summer. The setting of their home is stunning - peaceful with a fabulous view of a gorgeous golf course and the lake. The architecture, quality and decorations of their home is top notch - quite a place!
While Mark and I have known each other for a few years, it was the first time our spouses have met. They connected immediately.
We enjoyed some cocktails and vino along with Mark's excellent cooking. I would say Mark's martinis are about the best I've ever had.
And, of course, there was a little bit of music listening. While we enjoyed listening to the Lumin, vinyl lead the way. It was fun to see my wife go through Mark's album collection and pull vinyl to be played. What a blast!
We really appreciate Susan and Mark for hosting us at their beautiful home. We had a terrific time socializing, celebrating, listening and being together. Of course the food and cocktails were fantastic as well!
