I have a used vintage McIntosh MR 80 Digital FM Tuner which has been in a case in our home and lovingly cared for since 1980. The unit is in excellent working condition. The unit is housed in its own veneer case and can be stacked with other similar equipment. There are some small nicks on the edges of the left side and right side of the wooden case but do not affect the quality of this piece of equipment. This MR 80 has been used in combination with the McIntosh C32 preamplifier (sold) and the McIntosh MC2125 power amplifier (to be sold) With the McIntosh MR 80, I would include the original Owner's Manual, and two sheets of schematic information regarding antenna switch assembly.

I would also like to sell a used vintage McIntosh MC2125 Stereo Power Amplifier also encased in a walnut veneer cabinet with a few minor scratches, but with a notch taken out of the top of the back of the veneer cabinet. None of this has affected the quality of this unit. This item was purchased in 1979 from a stereo shop as a used item and has been in a cabinet in our home ever since. I would rather not ship this item due to the weight. I am located in Knoxville Tennessee. Drop off may be arranged up to 100 miles for a fee. I will include the original Owner's Manual, an original Service Information booklet from the McIntosh laboratory, the technology pamphlet explaining performance, and a quick guide to the operating dials.

Please respond if you are interested and we can discuss prices. I can provide pictures for anyone interested. I'm new to this forum so bear with me while I learn to use the site. Thanks very much.

commander rob, I would be interested in your old Mac equipment but I'm far away from you. I'd put them on your local craigslist and I'm sure that you will get some interest. You wouldn't have to ship them like if you sold them on eBay and you would get cash in hand. You just have to weed out the tire kickers from the serious buyers. A lot of interest in vintage McIntosh so I think that you could find a serious buyer.

Isn't everyone getting shot, robbed, raped, or killed that sells or buys something on Craigslist? Haven't major cities declared local safe spots like they have for kids where you can come and meet your buyer or seller in a public place that has been declared safe? Aren't people advised by their local police departments to never let anyone from Craigslist know where you live and never to let them come to your house?

Yes, terrible things happen everyday. You could have been waiting for a plane in Brussels a few hours ago and had your life ended by a terrorist. You may be shot, robbed, raped, or killed by someone, at some place in this world. Do what you are comfortable with.
