I've got one of these too, and it's one of the few tube amps that I found can work with a wider range of speakers instead of just those that are easy to drive. :)

I have the earlier (not SE) version in black and it sounds as good as it looks. It is my favorite amp for my Sound Labs.
 
I bet the VAC and SL is a sweet match. If I ever had the opportunity for a 2nd system I'd love to set up a tube and electrostatic system.

I’m sure I’m in minority, but I always feel VAC could do better with their faceplates. [emoji51]

I truly miss not being able to see what the volume level setting is. I know it is sacrilege but I am so used to seeing numbers on my other equipment.
