V.11 query for D1

I've recently updated my D1 to v.11. One thing I've noticed is before turning on the D1 via the app, I usually connect an external HDD and I will hear the external HDD start up.
This doesn't happen now.
It seems when using the 'power' button to turn off the D1, the power to the usb ports is turned off aswell?
 
Yes, this feature was requested by a user who does not want the attached USB HDD spinning all the time, even when the Lumin set to standby. Once you wake up the Lumin, the USB HDD should spin up.
 
One other thing I've noticed: It takes a while for the latest release notes to show online.
The Lumin Android app still doesn't show the latest release notes.
 
Hi Peter,

I just updated my D1 with firmware update v11 and I no longer see the options to toggle between PCM /Native/DSD on the Lumin settings screen. I am missing something?

I checked that it is present.

1. If the setting disappeared, please try turning Re-Sampling to Off, then to Custom.
2. If it does not work, please double tap Home button, swipe away Lumin app and relaunch it.
3. If it still does not work, please reboot your iPad.
 
Since this latest update, I can't seem to wake the D1 when launching the Android Lumin app.
I now have to turn off, then back on using the power switch on the back of the D1.

If it behaves like this every time, try using the original power supply instead of the Sbooster. See if it still behaves the same. It works in my testing.
 
Concerning 'disable usb power': When my D1 is woken from standby, should the connected usb HDD be detected because it never is every time I've tried.
I have to turn the D1 off/on from the rear for this to happen?

It should be detected when the Lumin player is woken up. Our QA and I tested this before this feature is released into public firmware. I've just re-tested this on two units just now and it works as expected. That being said, I do not rule out the possibility of specific USB storage device behaving unusually with USB power on/off.

Please:
1. Test with original Lumin power supply for the D1.
2. Test with a USB flash drive.
