Just placed an order with the Cable Company to upgrade my Triton to a Triton2. Once I am comfortable with this then I will upgrade my Zitron Python on each amp to Sigma HC. Then I will never buy anymore gear, at least for a little bit.

Personally, I like Shunyata power and cable upgrades. They always seem to give a bigger improvement than gear upgrades.

Great. I wish I had ordered a bit earlier, but I was getting the run around with the Cable Company, and I wasn't going to buy anything until the issue was fixed. I returned a PS Audio Direct Stream DAC three months ago after it broke the second day I had it. They kept on saying my CC was credited, but it wasn't until today's bill arrived that I finally saw the credit.

Don't know if anyone has a Triton and Typhon sitting side by side on a rack but the V2 has different feet making it a bit taller than the V1 and Typhon. Not a big problem unless you have a double wide HRS rack and you left the shelf above the Triton with zero gap. Only problem with the HRS is adjusting shelf height, not a fast job. Plus, now with my OCD, the Typhon and Triton aren't perfectly level as I sit in my listening seat and stare at them

Most probably use the Shunyata steel feet or maybe even Stillpoints like I use on my other 2 Typhons so you won't notice but not on the HRS, can't spare the space.

Maybe Shunyata will give you a trade-in for the Typhon feet, and change them to Triton feet.

I know what you are saying about looking at gear with OCD eyes. My electronics are on Mapleshade Triplepoints brass footers, so it is easy for a piece of gear to slightly rotate. I will be listening to some tunes, notice the gear sides aren't all parallel, and start tweaking it to make all edges look the same. LOL.

My Triton v2 arrived this morning, which was a surprise since I always seem to be the last stop for Fed-Ex or UPS. Anyway, it is in the garage with 5 fans running to start the burn-in. When I get home tonight it will have 8 hours on it. At that point I will swap out the v1 with the v2, and let it play music for another 3-4 hours. Obviously, I will have an initial impression, and later on, as the night quiets down, and critical listening becomes easier, I hope to have another impression. After tonight, any further burn-in will only occur when I use my two channel system, which is mainly on Friday and Saturday night.

Congrats Bud! This definitely sounds like one of the most worthwhile upgrades. Please post a full report when she's burned in.

Look forward to your impressions. Even though I'm not a fan of their wire, I don't mind their passive power conditioners.

The addition of a second Hydra Cyclops offered a further improvement in my rig and I'm happy with the end result.

Congrats Bud!

Don't blow it up :D

LOL. I did break my Triton v1 soon after I got the Pass amps. At that time, I only had one 20 amp circuit, and everything was plugged into the Triton. I also was using Aerial Acoustics 7T speakers. So, one night I am playing it loud, and the Triton 20 amp breaker trips. I turned it back on, and once the Pass amps started drawing their max idle current the breaker made this horrible and loud vibrating noise. I could not live with that.

I should take this opportunity to acknowledge Shunyata for their outstanding support. They had UPS pick it up at my house, troubleshot it and fixed it the day they received it, and shipped it back the next day. Caelin Gabriel even contacted me to let me know what they found, and did.

I love all their products, since each one has made a positive improvement, and the customer support is outstanding.
