Guys — I wanted to share some GOOD news with you all.
Just got home from spending the weekend visiting my father-in-law, and for the first time in a while, we came home with something we desperately needed — **HOPE.**
First, THANK YOU to everyone who has kept him and our family in your prayers and sent such kind messages of support. It means more than you know.
This weekend, he was actually able to speak in FULL SENTENCES!
His speech is still very slow, but he's beginning to regain some of his cognitive abilities. That's a HUGE step forward from where he was.
He still has a long road ahead. He's being fed through a tube, cannot drink any liquids, and it takes him considerable time to understand and process what we're saying to him.
But compared to where he was just a short time ago, this is remarkable progress.
And perhaps the most beautiful part of the entire weekend?
I got to see my wife genuinely SMILE again.
On our five-hour drive home, she had tears rolling down her face. But this time, they weren't tears of sadness or fear.
**They were tears of JOY.
That alone made the entire trip worth it.
I wanted to share this update because so many of you have reached out, prayed, and shown our family genuine kindness.
Sometimes we get so caught up in the nonsense of everyday life that we forget what really matters.
We know there is still a long journey ahead, but this weekend gave us something precious to hold on to.
