Upcoming Concerts

Hopefully the bus driver for the DMB tour bus won't dump 800 gallons of crap on people while crossing the river in Chicago this time: Matthews Band bus driver pleads guilty to dumping waste in river - chicagotribune.com

I used to like the DMB until I figured out every song they play sounds just like the last song they played.

Ya I remember that incident well; Chicagoans were pretty angry that bus driver didn't do jail time.

DMB certainly has a "house sound" as do many great bands, but I certainly hear and love the unique character of each cut. Also, they are as tight and musically talented as any band I have seen in my 40 years of live concerts; last night was a friggy awesome 3.5 hour jam session.

WOW! That was a fun night... Steely Dan's greatest hits performed live with Fagen & Becker. 13 member band (3 backing vocalists) with 4 horns, 2 guitars (Becker), bass guitar, drums, 2 keyboards (Fagen). Opening night of their summer tour. I don't have full playlist, I'm sure one will be listed online, somewhere, soon. I didn't know if they'd just play all the old faves, but they did and it was terrific. That, my fellow sharks, is some good 'ol Rock&Roll. (We don't need no stinkin Rap!) Last song of the set was 'Reelin in the Years' (before encore) which I played repeatedly on my car cassette in my high-school days - it was so much fun to hear that song live! We were about 15 rows back, just left of center. Great view, awesome sound.

Don't miss this show if they're near your town, it'll make you feel young!

Very cool! I'm going to see SD on July 24th.

I have no doubts it will be a great show! Just be careful if you have any old women sitting behind you that seem to be over-excited. They might try and wing their depends on stage and they could get stuck to the back of your head. :D
