U1 vs U1 Mini

Hi, I understand that U1 has a separate power supply. U1 Mini has an embedded power supply.
Has anyone did some testing and are there major differences between the 2 in listening?

Also, I understood U1 was released in 2016. I think U1 Mini was released in early 2019 if I am not mistaken.
Are there any differences in the built? Is U1 Mini faster than U1?

Any info about the difference between the 2 devices, other than power supply, would be greatly appreciated.

- External Linear Power Supply (same as S1) or internal SMPS
- Thick aluminium chassis vs thin chassis
- DSD512 (for those DAC supporting Linux native DSD512) vs DSD256 (for those DAC that supporting Linux native DSD256 or DoP256)
- Digital processing is otherwise the same

Mike, thanks for recommending Lumin, should have taken your advice ages ago.

As far as the thread topic is concerned. I have only heard the U1 Mini, so sorry about this post being a bit of a hijack.
 
Without hearing one that’s my disclaimer. I would say the power supply and it would be marginal. The chassis like Peter said is lighter IMO makes no difference on sound quality. The larger sample rates to me aren’t a issue the largest I’ve seen on Tidal is 196 anyhow. I’m sure someone else will chime in. The mini for the money is really good. I’m all Bryston and had a transport but the LUMIN walks on it. AES was my choice even though Bryston has a very good USB input. The AES brought back the analog sound that I’ve missed for so long.
