Currently I plug my two Krell FPB (Class A) amps directly into a dedicated wall socket, as the manufacturer recommends. These amps power Revel Ultima Studio speakers via Transparent Audio Super speaker cables. Over time, I have read -- and come to the conclusion -- that Denali power filtering will not degrade the performance of my amplifiers but rather may, in fact, enhance them. If cost were not a consideration, I'd likely purchase a Denali 2000T; however, being retired, I must expend my savings more cautiously these days than in years past.
The question I pose is based, therefore, on economics. Clearly, purchasing two Venom Amp-1s, along with two Venom HC power cables, would be far less costly than just one Denali 2000T and a single Venom HC power cable (or must it be at least a Delta series cable so as not to offset some of the benefits of the Denali unit?). Complicating this question is the fact that I do not have easy access to these Shunyata products -- especially for an a/b/c comparison and must make my purchase based solely on research. Therefore, I ask: with my equipment cited, what am I likely to forgo if I purchase the less costly "solution"?
All thoughts are gratefully received!
