Turntable slows down once in a while

I have a Sony PS 8750 I bought recently from a friend that had it tuned up a few new caps. I've had it about a month and once in a while the speed slows down for a few seconds. The guy I bought from told me don't hesitate to bring it to him since it's still under warranty. Anybody who might know what's causing this?

It's likely the motor. I would return it. Get a new one.

Hey Robert !! Still having that problem huh. Definitely motor or something rubbing your platter.
Steve from quest could definitely help you out if the guy you got it from doesn't .
