LOL... I should have read your post before I responded to Paul. Your description of the new driver technology is much more eloquent than mine.
 
To Bill: D'oh. It looks like I missed the recommendation in your initial post. Sorry about that!

To McIntosh: If the notion of owning a loudspeaker that was designed to fulfill multiple roles is a bit of a turn off to you, then you'd proooobably want to swipe PMC off your 'to-audition' list. Of course, I wouldn't actually recommend doing that. Just as I wouldn't recommending casting aside Totem's Element series just because of such perceptions. I mean sure... the Mani-2's are fantastic speakers. There's no denying that. But so are the Fire's.

Bill. When I got there it was almost closing time.( no sense to listen for 10 to 15 mins )

I will be going back there today or tomorrow. Will update with you :)
