Any users of the Torus Power products? They use to be only a transformer based line conditioner I think. Now they have models that offer line regulation like the PSA Power Plants.

I love Torus. I have a 4.5kva single high power transformer that I distribute power to the room via a SqD NQ panelboard. I also have a RM20. I have heard all sorts of filters and Torus is the only one I like on amplifiers. I have not heard the latest Shunyata. But Shunyata is priced at $10,000 to $15,000. A Torus RM20 is $4200. You could buy one for the amps and one for the front end for the price of a single Shunyata. You can get a single high power core of 12kva, thats 100 amps, and easily power any system out there.

It sound like Bryston is buying licensed parts such as the transformer core, NBT and series mode surge suppressor from Torus, then assembling the parts.

I have looked at my Torus RM20 and feel some improvements can be had. The 2 most obvious are replacing the Hubbell 5362 duplex with a Furutech or other all copper type duplex. I have heard enough duplex to know they have a sonic signature.
The second less impactful, but audible may be more a pigtail to each duplex instead of the series in, out, in, out as is the current design. I feel connection points degrade sound. The best power supply I ever built was a Oyaide cord that came from my panel, out the wall, into a box where the cord to each device was clamped to the Oyaide. A Hydra head of sorts. No duplex. The only pressure connection was the IEC at the amp.
This is not legal per NEC as all branch wires are to terminate into a duplex. And all cords are to have a male and female end. But boy does it perform well and cost relatively nothing to make.
