Toronto Audio Show 2013

Great looking room!
Wish more exhibitors set up (and had larger space) like this!
Unfortunately, i am going to miss this year's TAVES. Hope attendees will share their feedback.

Who is going to be doing full TAVES pics and reporting for us? Come on guys - I did RMAF! :)

Mike... I would love to but I am going on Sunday so I might be little late for that. I heard Barry is going today so hopefully he bring his Camera with him. ( Not a phone :) )

James - Looks like you guys are going "all out" at this show! Hope you have a great show!

Some show feedback.

Ironically, I think that Bryston may have the best sound I heard this evening ...

Caught Ariel Ramirez's "Missa Criolla" and a bit of Patricia Barber when I was in there, and it sounded exceptionally well sorted out and coherent. (Model T's driven by 28b's and fully digital front end) I very seldom form judgements on the first day of show sound, but the Bryston room sure was working well.

Some More feedback

The Bryston room was by far my favourite room of the show.

Second was the Focal/Devialet room which was playing Radiohead when I walked in. A very nice change from all the bad jazz-lite audio dealers seem to favour.

Disappointments were the Reference 3a room demoing the new Nefes. I didn't like their sound one bit and I own a pair of Episodes.

Once again TAVES time has rolled around and as usual the Bryston room proved to be an oasis of good taste and great music.

The big difference this year was an all Bryston system featuring their over reaching flagship speaker the Model T. Not only was it the best sounding room but it also was one of the few rooms where you could relax, sit down and enjoy a great sounding system with zero pressure.

Congrats to the Bryston team for a fantastic job.

Awesome James! Bryston is hitting it out of the park with the 28's (I love those amps), the BDA-2/BDP-2 and the new line of speakers which sound superb. Congrats!!

Previous commitments took longer than I had planned. Had to speed through the show.
For me highlight was OLED TV. This is the future.
Revel Salons were nice, as it was on my list.I found them to be very fast but a bit set back in their sound. (not a bad thing) Not the best room. Bryston had the biggest room.
Some of the bigger players did not display. Not there Magico, Wilson. No killer room. Angie might have had the best room with D1s.

Re: TAVES 2013 (TORONTO AUDIO VIDEO ENTERTAINMENT SHOW)

Managed to stop in today at the Bryston room and had the pleasure of meeting James.

I was also very impressed with the Model T speaker's performance and detail - great product and they are definitely going to be "giant killers."

Be well...

I bet the Bryston speakers are awesome. I'd love to hear them.

Toronto Audio Show:

The speakers are what you'd expect from Bryston, IMO.

They don't really have a character - you hear precisely what was recorded.

In past years this show has seen more high end product. The word I got from most of the dealers was that we are coming up on Christmas. Typically when they sell a lot of smaller systems. But no factory showrooms except for Bryston.
I wondered in to the Bryston room they may have had their whole product line on display. The 4B SST has always been on my list.
