Tone Audio Issue 77

I'm glad to finally see a review on my cartridge! Page 168 - ZYX Universe Premium.
 
The preview of the McIntosh C1100 preamplifier was just a tease. I was hoping for a full blown C1100 review, perhaps connected to Jeff's MC1.2KW amplifiers. Maybe in another upcoming issue.
 
I certainly would have been interested in reading a detailed C1100 review instead of one about an Apple Pencil!
 
Let me save you the wait. I heard Bruce's C1100 and it's fantastic. Tonality, musicality and 3D in spades. And to be honest, I couldn't stop staring at it.

And since we're on the discussion of Mc, I got to talking to Harry Weisfeld and he was telling me he's tried at least 10 different Mc amps and to everyone's surprise, found the Mc303 to be a knockout. Just using two channels, I heard it at his place on the JBL Everests. It was amazing. When we switched to this Ampzilla Star Trek looking thing, so much was lost. The Mc303 was wonderful.
