Luxury HiFi Distribution is pleased to announce we have been appointed as the North American Distributor for the Swiss company, Tobian SoundSystems, makers of the finest horn loudspeakers and SET electronics.

We have three pairs of speakers and the latest two box, 140 pound SET integrated amplifier enroute.

Congrats. First I've heard of them. I'd love to check out that amp. I'll have to research it 140 lbs seems a lot to reproduce a few watts, LOL

No. They couldn’t get the products to me in time as Axpona needs the shipments by March 25.

Congrats Mike! Great sounding and beautifully finished gear. Heard them at FL Expo in 2022 and 2023 front ended by Lampizator - very enjoyable.

Out of this world. They are so good, we are having a hard time debating between the 12 sigs or the 15FH’s for our Suite at the show. The 12FH’s are fantastic, but if you have the room, the 15’s are next level.

I have said this before and I will say it again, if you need more than 10 or 15 wpc you need different speakers. There is something that the low power/ hi eff combo does that you can't get anywhere else.

I agree - I love the combo of low power amps and high sensitivity speakers.

Would love to experience , different yes better can’t agree on such ..!

Power is king :)
 
Although, in general, hi eff and low powered systems are dynamic as all get out and get loud as hell, that is not their best feature. They can also play at low levels and be really satisfying. So, that said, now I am looking to pick up a pair of Maggies (again!) and a solid state amp which will deliver at least 200 wpc into 4 ohms. How contradictory is this?
 
Playing loud is not representative of dynamics , in order to be truly dynamic a system has to be able to deliver a solid presentation at low levels as well as high.

Most under powered systems can do the low but run into dynamic compression on music with high crest factors….!
