Aurender N100H + Mytek Brooklyn DAC = future proof (at least for now)

Mike, are you saying the N100H is MQA compatible and / or does the dac also have to be compatible?

For Bluesound users who stream TIDAL Hi-Fi, they have confirmed that there will be a future update which will include MQA support, as well as adding DSD playback.

We've got the Meridian Explorer2 with Roon. Thumbs up all around!
Brooklyn does and perhaps Manhatten soon.
But Why?
From what I heard of MQA, I was underwhemlmed!
I guess for streaming, as a way to get hi-rez?

Interesting. The demo I heard, I was very impressed with MQA. When compared to 24/192, it wasn't close. We will have to wait and hear it on our own systems to do real comparisons and ultimately determine. But in terms of popularity, I do think MQA will overshadow DSD in a few years. Whether it will be sonically superior is another matter.

I would be curious to know the demo you heard. What was the setup? Did they do comparisons to 24/192?
The demo I heard it on was on those (bite my tongue) Meridian speakers, so, far less than ideal. But in comparing with the 24/192 of the same recording, the MQA was miles better.

It was via Mytek Brooklyn at the Warsaw show, Lepinsky (sp?) standmount speakers ($19K a pair, I think).
No hi-rez comparison offered, as per usual. I think you are the only one I read so far who go the direct comparison. 3 songs or so.
