This is regarding audio forums. I think I am opinionated, when asked I will tell you, and sometimes when not asked if it's topic related. I never mean to be offensive. I assume most understand opinions are subjective, even same gear, results may very depending on other associated gear, room, etc. I also assume, to a lesser extent, that most realize we all hear differently, have our own opinion and taste as to how music should sound, want it to sound, our own experiences to draw from. I also feel for the most part, if intensions are good, that opinions are good. For example, if I put it out there something didn't sound good or work well for me, maybe it did for someone else and they can explain how they got their result or where I might have gone wrong with mine. Also, if others become familiar with your opinion/tastes, it could help you some day in the future if you need a recommendation or help.
Now that's me, how do you feel about reading others opinions, especially if you see it doesn't agree with yours? Are opinions good, divisive and need to be restrained? Where would I cross the line?
Aren't the forums really about sharing opinions?
