I was in this room today. Someone came in with a CD that they requested and after a little 'hesitation' from the rep, it was played. WOW!! amazing sound from this recording ( and the room began to fill up), BUT the rep wanted to go back to his poorly recorded vocal piece and so quickly removed the disc....which resulted in a exodus of folks from the room, too funny...

I wish I knew! The rep was so intent on getting back to his vocal piece, that the duration that we managed to listen to the CD was no more than three or four minutes. As soon as he handed the disc back to the show goer, the room emptied, along with the guy who brought the disc. I don’t blame him for leaving, as the rep had his agenda and no intention of listening to a great recording.

Edited as it has been suggested this post by Pearce may not be what it seems.

Just remember there are always two sides to every story, and you just heard from a guy that was banned from AS and came back with a phony name.

Yeah, doesn't add up. When Alex first posted he asked for music samples and quickly used ones I tossed up.

That's good to hear. Then I stand corrected and I apologize Alex and will go back and edit my post.

I'm pretty skeptical of people but boy, that's pretty messed up if they lied about music being played. Geez.

Who is this guy? Look back on the threads and see that 'mep' seems to have confused me with someone else. Now he has an ongoing agenda to try and connect me with someone else...pathetic.
Believe what i said or not, but ask yourself this question, what would i have to gain by making this stuff up?

You are DaveyF and everybody knows it's the truth. MikeB busted you and the Pearce Harrison name. And you don't need to ask anyone, you have known who I am for many years.

Remember the time you pretended to be your own friend and bragged about how good your system was? I do, and I'm not the only one.

I just read this tread after The SHOW/Costa Mesa 2023 is over.

Mr. Pearce Harrison's impression was correct. I don't remember the title of CD but it was good piece (something like Miles Davis). It was relaxed and smooth. Yes. I switched that good CD (playing 2 minutes) to low resolution YT downloaded video music.

The reason, before the show I advertised to people to record my audio sound. Many guests were recording my audio sound and many songs are copy-righted. I was playing YT safe songs only even if they are in low resolution. I don't want recorded pieces to be wasted and the blame that I used copy righted materials.

The gentleman with CD waited patiently for > 10 minutes until crowd were thin. So, I was forced to play his CD and it was good one. However, soon many guests came in with a couple of big guns (DSLR w/ large dia. lens). So, I asked to the gentleman for understanding of changing other songs. He was bit disappointed but he expressed that he heard enough to know the sound of my system. He's been listening my other songs for 10 minutes anyway.

Below is AJ's recording. (raise the volume. This won't hurt your ears.)
**Please compare the sound quality of my recording (link in 1st post, mic is 8ft from spkr) and AJ's (10ft from spkr).

Seems Mike may know you so I assume you are legit. However, your explanation makes no sense to me. All songs no matter the resolution are prone to copyright issues. Come on and record my system but I want to play the worst quality content. Shaking head. In addition, you are the only one I have ever heard have any concerns at a show over copyrights.

Songs I played at the show are copyright free. CR matters if recordings to be published online.
The sound quality of YT downloaded is not bad. Listen to my recording.
