Nelson...have you by chance gotten an SP-20 or have you heard it? Wandering how it compares to an LS-27 or Ref 5SE in terms of the linestage and to the PH-8 or Ref 2SE in terms of the phono stage?

Bill (metaphacts)....in case you see this, have you had a chance to hear it? Again, if you can provide a reference point in terms of its sonics to existing linestages and phonostages within ARC line-up that would be helpful.

Thanks.

Cyril,
Not yet :(
But your are asking about a comparison that is not
in the same league as the SP20.
But I'll keep you posted

Nelson...according to Bill (metaphacts) who as you know works for Sumiko, the SP-20 comes closer to a Ref 5SE and a Ref 2SE than it does to the LS-27 and a PH-8. The comments in the blog above suggest that its linestage performance even gets close to the Reference separates (Ref 10), which I find a bit hard to believe. Let us know what you think if and when you get a demo piece. Thanks.

Cyril
