Well, with the main Retirement System in place, I am now trying to find a place to display and play this last acquisition. This is done entirely out of nostalgia - remembering the first ever high-end speaker (Klipsch Heresy 1's) I have heard, then selling in mid /late 70's for a princely sum of S$1.2k and of course the Thorens TD160 Super with an SME3009 arm. And so when the Klipsch Heresy III 70th Anniversary comes along, I had to grabbed a pair, together with a completely rebuild - down to the little details a Thorens TB160 Super. As there's not many SME3009 that can be rebuild to mint, I've decided to go for the latest SME M2-9 arm. Powering them would be the Leben CS-300XS and the matching RS-30EQ. Another original rebuild Thorens TD147 (with Thorens own arm with auto-lift function) would be coming in due time when complete. One will be for Stereo while the other would be mono. Looks like I might just have to buy one more RS-30EQ as one can only connect to one arm/cartridge. I've always loved Ortofon sound and cartridges, so I have the 2M Black and Mono SE ready. Stringing them together would be the Audience Ohno series cables.

Here are the pictures of the stuff that are already in house. The TD147 (still being rebuild) and another RS-30EQ (I am still wondering if I should buy this one more piece) will come later.

I suppose when one comes of age, one just reminisce the younger times and try to re-live it. For me, its buying stuff I could not afford back then, and trying to savour how its like then, today.

Cheers
