The Good, the bad and the ugly-how they made it- perhaps great music to test acoustic music

Chris,

How did you come across Vapor speakers and what can you tell me about them. Compare them to anything? Last I had read, they were way behind in production, but had a great product.

Hi Jeff I had built a new office and needed a small speaker. I owned the KEF LS50 and the Usher BE718. The Usher was way to much for the room and I wanted to try other speakers and eliminate a sub which the KEF's required plus stay under $2500.. I had the Harbeth P3ESR,Revel Performa3 M106 the Fritz Carbon ( neighbor) Nola BoxerII, LSA 1 Statement monitors on hand and had spoken to some members on another forum about Vapor Speakers. The Breeze all 38 lbs ea had a lot more bass that all the other speakers, they were solid, they cast a larger soundstage, the highs were a little more refined but not edgy at all and the midrange was smooth and detailed which supported my music taste, Classic Rock, Blues, soft Jazz and Bluegrass instrumentals. My selection came down to the Fritz and the Vapor. I just chose the Vapor since I had met Ryan at a RMAF years ago and I also was familiar with his other speakers. The KEF well I sold them right after I got the new speakers. I really tried to get a pair of Ryan R610's which I also think is a great speaker.
