When Clapton, Waters as well as a host of other performers make racist and/or antisemitic comments on stage and elsewhere it’s an “audio discussion” which I will refrain from rehashing because many of the posts were abhorrent in support of some of these “artists” BUT when for some reason some of you feel this, from the “brand ambassador” of one the icons of the high end audio industry, is out of bounds and has no place. I am a physician and I can flat out tell you that healthcare is a disaster, not just government controlled. And it is going to get worse. I have been practicing for 40 years and I am going to retire the end of the month after working 40 years in emergency medicine. Corporations have bought up hospitals and are charging ridiculous amounts and gouging the public. The are replacing physicians with NP's and PA's who are not qualified to work in the ER. I see all their mistakes and lack of knowledge. This is what we have to look forward to.

I am on Medicare now and my wife and I are paying $1500 a month for Medicare A, B, C and D. And the cost of C and D go up 10 to 20% a year.

As am I. I’m retiring end of Dec. 73 years old

However my perspective is much different albeit we come to the same conclusions. The Government IS the cause of just about ALL issues. Medicare changed the paradigm. Then in 1987-1989 with the advent of RBRVS and more social engineering, incentives BECAUSE of not in lieu of government engineering, led to massive over-utilization, networking, HMO, for profit hospitals, mergers and acquisitions especially of the 1000s providing insurance to just 4-5 with the ultimate tyranny by the 50+% takeover by Medicaid/Medicare and Obamacare.

An astounding 85+% of physicians are employed the most amazing is the biggest employer is Optimum which employs 10% of docs which is an arm of United; talk about conflicts of interest.

Unfortunately newbies coming out are naive and clueless as to what is happening.

Good luck to “Medicare for all”. The irony of this is that nowhere is the wealth affect felt more than in those countries with “Medicare for all” where the richest pay out of pocket to get the care they NEED WHEN they need/want that those dependent on the government are denied.

And yes I too am on Medicare as I have NO CHOICE have paid more into the system than all but a tiny %, now because I still earn a lot get to pay 5x more for the same “service” as others because of IRMAA and because Medicare pays so little can’t find a primary care doc so I get to pay another 5k per year for a concierge doc that will see Medicare patients. And this “government healthcare” is still going broke in addition to massive 100s of billions in fraud and abuse but people want this??!!!

People are clueless. Hysterical that the system destroyed by the government, can be looked to by so many to fix what they totally destroyed

You have repeated yourself with regards to Gordon so many times in this thread that I'm having visions of the movie 'Groundhog Day' and you know what else I know.............72 years ago I was brought forth upon this earth, the Jews and Arabs were at each other then and when I leave they still will be.
