I was blessed to have Mike fly into Inverness yesterday , to set up my Aria's properly. They were set up to about 80% of their capacity and I loved them . Mike went into "Rainman " mode with a manual ruler and his electronic ruler. It was like watching a surgeon on the operating table. Every movement was choreographed with an end game, that I was not prepared for. Seating position was changed , the speakers were moved laterally around 12 inches and positioned about 18 inches back. The arc of the bass and treble components were adjusted in ways I would have never imagined . Mike explained his logic as he worked. After 30 minutes of measurements, I played Keith don't Go . Within 30 seconds Mike said to stop the music. He immediately programed the MSB premier Dac to eliminate the pre/amp volume control , as I had too high a setting and was overdriving the VAC preamp. The next step was to adjust the Aurender in critical listening mode to eliminate the led's , as they contribute noise to the music. He checked all connections at the speaker and crossover to verify I connected everything correctly. The end result was unbelievable. I still don't believe I own and am hearing a system of this caliber.Again, if your in central Florida and want to check out the Vac, Msb, Aurender , Clarysis synergy , please let me know for a listening session.
ps Florian is scheduled to come in September and check out the system . I am really curious if he can make it sound even better. This hobby is based in science , but the final analysis is the human hear and a Music soul that understands it. As a wise soul once told me, do your feet tap when you listen to the song being played !!!!
