The CCR Battle Continues

I remember hearing a few years ago that one of the '50's or '60's doo-wop groups had two or three different groups simultaneously touring, all claiming to the group. It can most easily occur when the group had split up (often acrimoniously) and forty or fifty years later, the nostalgia for their music makes touring once again popular. One way around the issue is for Fogerty to tour as "John Fogerty of CCR". I remember seeing an album that Pete Best (drummer who preceded Ringo) entitled "Best of the Beatles."

Fogerty doesn't seem to be happy unless he is battling someone. If it's not his record label, it's his ex-band mates. Too bad they couldn't kiss and make up and tour together again. Musicians are a strange lot and when you put them in a band together, some of them seem to forget they are men and carry on like a bunch of women who can never get along. Pink Floyd is another example.

Looks like a great reality TV show, "Housewives of CCR."
