I'm sure many of you know this already but for those that don't..... brake cleaner in an aerosolized can is the bomb. For individuals or application to a mud dauber nest it dispatches them faster than any other "wasp spray" I've come across.

Ps and a plus is that overspray evaporates in just seconds.

I use Spectracide Wasp Spray. It instantly drops wasps to the ground and sprays a 25' stream.

Another good use for this wasp spray is home self defense for older people who don't own weapons. A can of Spectracide by the bed can instantly shoot a stream of wasp spray across the room into an intruders eyes, nose and mouth providing you with the element of surprise and an opportunity to escape.

Dan,

That is a great tip. Anything that can give someone, especially the elderly, an edge is important. Thank you.

Follow them and find the nest if you can. I had to kill an in-wall nest a few years ago. Directed spray/injection didn't work and recovery persisted. Powder was the solution and took around 24 hours. Necessary to kill the queen or the hive will survive. Those remaining in the field will not return to rebuild if the queen is dead.
