That time of the year!

Sorry for your loss Mike. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Sorry, I missed this post, thoughts are with you Mike and your family during this trying time.

Thank you Jeff. I would like to add just how important it is to always tell the ones you love, just how you feel. My Father passed away suddenly Saturday morning. He was 73 and the picture of health. He was my best friend and my hero. But I would have liked to have told him - just one more time - that I loved him. RIP Dad.

Mike, I am sorry...this is the first I peeked in this thread and didn't know. I feel your pain as I lost my mom this year (85). Ripe old age but the past few years were very tough on her...her last months awful.

I lost my mom, my confidant, my always there for me friend..may you find peace knowing that within you is a piece of your dad he prayed all his life to instill..

As to appreciation ..I give thanks every day for something. My wife had me print out some spreadsheets with 1000 entries. Each day, our daughter, my wife and I write something we are thankful for. Whether it is each other, our pets, brownies...LOL

I am thankful for the wonderful site you built for audio (and other) folks to gather and share.

Thank you everyone. It's a sad day when we learn that our invincible parents are human after all.

Mike...I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. I just read this. I lost my Mom in 2011 and it was the toughest thing I have had to go through. My thoughts are with you and your family. As the other Mike (Ritmo) said, please know that we are here for you and may you find some comfort and healing in the lovely memories of the time you spent together.

Mike, I've been away from the forum for many months as my life has gotten so busy, but decided to check in today and just stumbled on this thread. I am so sorry to hear of your sudden loss. I know your Mom has been sick and you've been struggling with that, and now this. I know this doesn't ease the pain in any way, but to hear you say that he was your friend and your hero means that you had and will always have something to cherish forever. And those of us who know you in some small way, know for sure that your Dad had to be a special person to raise such a good man as his son. God bless you and your Dad.
Sincerely....Jeff

Thank you so much for your kind words Jeff.

....and try not to be such a stranger!

My condolences to you and your family.
Think of how lucky you were to have had him as long as you did. I lost my dad at 10yrs old.

I can't imagine what you must have gone through at such a young age. It's never easy at any age, let alone 10.

My condolences to you and your family.

My thought is with you and your Dad today, and with Mike and his Dad and his family.

* My Dad lost his own Dad at age six or seven. ...The younger we lost a member of our parents the longer our lost, and it affects us for the rest of our entire life.

So sorry to hear this news. There is never a good time to lose a loved one. Hopefully your family and friends can provide comfort , support and fond memories during this holiday season.

Sincere condolences

Nick
