My wife is on her second Tesla (Model 3 and Model Y) and I just reserved my third Model S. Like any piece of audio equipment, personal preferences make a big difference. You did a smart thing by driving before buying to find out how you would react to the car's features. I did the same with the Model S. I immediately sold my Ferrari and never looked back. The car is a combination of enthusiast's sleeper supercar and practical family sedan. I've never had any service issue on any of the cars, only tire replacements. Before I retired I had a nasty commute. The regenerative braking was a godsend. I can't live without it now. As they say, YMMV. Best of luck with whatever choice you make. There are no bad choices.
