Tektron amp and preamp review ....

This SET combo is high on my list. Ever heard of Tektron? Thoughts?

You could pair it up with some high efficiency Tekton speakers which I like very much although in a different price league from Tektron.
 
They look nice. What do they cost?

It is so frustrating that an MFG can list every tiny spec, but not a price. So then you have to start Googling around and asking. How does this better serve them in getting sales?

Edit - I just went right to their site and for every price, it says ASK. Why, is it different for everyone who asks?
 
never heard of tektron until now - thanks for posting this find!!

this type amp is in the middle of the sweet spot for me - hand built SET amps with point-to-point wiring (no PCBs) that use very high quality "generic" parts rather than expensive boutique parts. they sell for decently less than $5k and IMO can offer the ~90/20 proposition: ~90% of the performance at ~20% of the price. interesting that they seem to offer these amps as diy kits as well.
