Any first impressions Chris?

Well I just started listening. Just letting the system warm up before I get to actually listening,.

Not sure f the firmware changed the way masters are found now via the Lumin app, but maybe I missed it, but the Masters has its own icon in Tidal via the Lumin app and you click it and it brings up 459 masters albums, I though there were more, hum.
In the Lumin options, there is now a MQA Mode: where one can select Analog Output, OFF, Digital Out, Passthrough
What's nice , I don't need a stinking PC.:audiophile:, listening to some CSN via MQA

Regarding the spreadsheet columns, I tried to find the answers from here but not successful:

I guess some of the columns indicate regional availability (e.g. UK).

By the way, when I tried to do more testing, I picked this Masters album:

Although I'm sure it suits the mood of the movie well, I found this is probably not for a relaxing listening for my taste.

Hi.
After being tested the Beta version of the Lumin application able to fullydevelop MQA, I write my impressions.

The records have all been classical music.

First, there is a big difference between different disks, some improve morethan others after the MQA process.

As the expectations created were very high, perhaps the first impressions werea bit disappointing.

However as you listen more time, you understand where itis, the authentic strength of MQA. Digital stress is greatly diminished so much, so that you note that you do notdistract yourself with the music, you are focused on it. It is very curiousbecause this phenomenon happens even between the fully developed version andthe 24-bit 48 Khz version that we all had in Lumin. You ask, but if there isnot so much objectively between the two versions, how is it that with the fullydeveloped have much more musical pleasure ......?

Thanks for the feedback - this sounds really interesting. How could one get involved in the Beta program? I feel like I could definitely help offer some insight as well.

Thank you!

Siao

PS - Will MQA be enabled only with Roon or organically within the S-1?
