His findings regarding the move from 200 to 400 mirror mine. I posted very similar thoughts when I upgraded. Oddly the 400 version is more liquid AND more transparent. Sure I would expect more bass authority (which you also get), but I did not expect these other improvements.
Mine as well. My 400 has been running non-stop for over two weeks and I'm in awe of its huge soundstage, purity of sound, 3D soundstaging, iron grip on the Scala V2's (which I'm loving - more on those later) and imaging. IMHO, the D400 is a game changer. And I've said it since day one when I first tried a D-Premier, the Phonostage is incredible. As good as any $10k standalone Phonostage I've tried. Yes, the thought of ADA'ing my vinyl gives me the willys, but man, there is no denying the end result.
Are you using 96 or 192 sample rate with the phonostage? Did you try both and if so did you notice a difference between the two?
