Beautiful equipment...nice display at Axpona.
Any own this, or have enough first hand experience to have impressions?
Thanks

Stereophile does a review on their HV integrated. I started looking into the brand when a dealer lost the brand and offered me basically half price for his demos, but ultimately even at half price it’s out of my league.

T+A did offer series at different price points. I had one of their CD players in the past and liked, it. My exposure to them has been positive.

Funny you should ask ...

I JUST received (as in yesterday) my new T+A DAC200 unit (with optional HDMI module capable of processing SACD over HDMI). I just hooked it up this morning, so I cannot really comment on the sound as of yet -- I'd like to give it at least a week to settle in.

So far, however, I am completely digging the quality and capabilities of the DAC. More to come.

I'd be interested in more impressions after you get some time with it.

T+A DAC200 , waiting on your impressions and also what you will compare it to.

Compare it to? You give me too much credit, sir. I can only WISH I was that kind of audiophile.

Sadly, I live in a rather depressing audiophile desert when it comes to local dealers and brands (unless I want McIntosh or dCS: one of those is a three hour drive away, one is out of my price range). Hell, I had to have the T+A shipped from a dealer in CA (I live on Ohio) because they were the closest dealer who had a reasonable return policy (since I obviously could not hear it beforehand).

So, for now, the only thing I'll be comparing it to is the DAC I already have on hand, the Bryston BDA-3. Which, with the T+A being 2x the price of the Bryston, really needs to be taking my digital sound to the next level. And, given the general "meh" attitude I've observed on this forum whenever Bryston is mentioned, I don't suspect there will be much interest in how the T+A DAC 200 excels in specific areas over the Bryston.

But, I will be happy to post my thoughts on the merits of the new DAC once I have formulated them! :)

Not a problem that will be a nice comparison regardless of the cost factor.. I've heard the DAC200 at a dealer in Jacksonville and was wow, but a little out of my budget.

Tino-

As a current BDA3 owner that's thinking about an upgrade, I too would be interested in your impressions of this T&A.

Thanks!

John
