T+a pa3100hv

I spent about 6 hours listening to my T+A setup today. Primarily CDs that I've been listening to for years. After some burn-in challenges, I can confidently say, this is the most satisfying gear I've owned. Wonderful in every way. I heard things on tracks that I've never heard before. I wonder if the brand is getting acceptance here in the states? Certainly not a commercialized brand. Mike, how is the line selling? Anyone on the fence owes this equipment an audition....

Giving this thread a new bump... I'm considering a PA 3100 HV. I'm also thinking about the Diablo 300. Does anyone have new thoughts about the PA 3100? Do any of you experienced users have updates?

Hello, I'm listening to mine now. The only person that's not happy, is my dealer. I'm thrilled and will not be changing. If you have any specific questions, I'll be happy to answer them. I've owned McIntosh, Pass, Spectral, Rogers High Fidelity, and Vitus. I think the PA3100HV is the best of the bunch. Love the MP3100HV also.

T+A is great equipment. I am sure that the PA3100HV would be amazing judging from the lower models that I own. The DAC is simply fantastic, the small T+A amp is a great little amplifier. From what I can see T+A is built as good as any equipment out there!

I have both in the store. The Diablo 300 has that big HUGE soundstage, tremendous bass and seamlessly limitless power on tap. The PA3100HV is breathtakingly beautiful in design, it has a very “tube like” sound. Buttery smooth on top.

They are, to me, the two best solid state integrated’s I’ve ever had. Just fabulous. Really, both are in a league on their own.

Mike,

How does T+A integrated compare to the separates (amp + pre)?

Thanks!

I cannot answer for sure but as the specs are the same I would believe the difference is marginal. The main advantage with separates is that you can, funds permitting off course, run the 2 off power sections in mono and get 60W in pure class A as opposed to the 30W class A in the Integrated.

soastrup, I can't seem to find the Class A information anywhere in print. Where might I find it? Additionally, what cabling are you using?? Thanks!!!
Penthouse-D,
The information regarding the Class A output is not available anywhere on the T+A site so I asked the T+A guy at the Warsaw show a few weeks ago. He said it was somewhere between 30 and 40 Watts. In my system it probably never leaves class A.

I use cables from QED and Audioquest.
