Hey all, we certainly hope you've been enjoying your summer thus far! It's been hot hot hot here on the California central coast, but we like it like that

We wanted to let everyone know that to celebrate the season a little bit, we've decided to have a sale over at wyred4sound.com. Most everything is discounted -- including our most popular products like Recovery, DAC-2v2SE, SX-1000R amps and even our new PS-1 power supply.

Incidentally, our new DAC-2v2SE was just reviewed by TONE Audio magazine and earned their "Exceptional Value Award".

Hope you check out the sale and find something you like.

Cheers,
Tony, Wyred 4 Sound

I stopped by to say hi to EJ, Tony, and crew today. EJ told me the STP's are really really hot now... they are having a hard time keeping up with demand... always good to hear, but probably a good idea to get your order in if anyone thinking of getting one. An amazing pre-amp in every way!

Agree, you would have to spend a whole lot more than the sale price of $1699 to do better and it still probably wouldn't be as flexible.

I've been wanting to get a good solid state preamp for my 2nd system for awhile now. Decided to go with the STP while it is on sale. Excited to hear it in my system!

It's a great piece. Congratulations!

Congrats, don't think you will disappointed and maybe even surprised. I would also give it a spin with the VAC amps and see what you think.

Unless he is out of stock completely shouldn't be long as you are real close. The thing that struck me about it when I first fired it up was the soundstage width and the bass performance.

They are amazing with a great sound stage, very smooth. I did notice there is a break in period for the STP-SE to come into it's own. The manual states 200 hours. Out of the box it was a little bright and kind of harsh. It really started smoothing out after about 50 hours or so. At about 100 hours I thought it was the best sounding pre-amplifier I ever heard.

Very basic looking, but do not let that fool you. Very flexible. I actually use all four sets of outputs. I am not aware of any other pre-amplifier with so many outputs. Also, I like re-labeling the input display... You will notice a slight tick at a couple points on the volume control; I think 33 is one. This is normal and nothing to worry about.

Congratulations.... you will love it.... It may surprise you,,,, to the point of wanting to use it in your main system :D....

Randy, the audio pimp v2, Ha!

I'm sooooooo tempted knowing how good it sounds. It would certainly be one of my smartest purchases.

Hey Joe, STP-SE Stage 2 for only $3449 :).... that is one heck of a deal :D....
