I went to my friends house yesterday to listen to his system and hang out. He recently made a trip to pick up a couple JL Audio F13's v2. He has Legacy V's and was using Legacy subs, he wanted to use those in another area and move to JL in his music system.
Well, when I got there he had between the V's two columns of the F13's stacked 3 to a column and using JL's electronic crossover. The subs are back a bit not in direct line with the V's. 80Hz and below go to the JL array and above that to the V's.
The sound was good but not really the pressure of intensity I expected. I'll have to go for another listen he found he had a bad preamp tube and it completely went out today. I'm also sure a set up like that will take a fair amount of tweaking to get it where you want it. The subs and the Wavelet for the V's have room EQ with microphone but still......
The theory with all the subs it's supposed to expand the soundstage and allow for more subtle detail to be heard.
