Stuff in space

Joe.......Kind of scary when you think about all the debris, old payloads, spent rockets, and other man made objects scattered in space around our globe.

It's also interesting to spin the globe around and see the United States and other parts of the world in darkness. It is easy to see where huge amounts of lighting are being used.

You know you would think by now, some industrial super mega rich person would be starting a space savage company and clean up this space garbage. I wonder if some of this stuff falls on your home after reentry can you sue ? after all they do know who's space garage it is that fell.
 
Really great post. Looks like the views are in real time. Notice how Antarctica is completely in daylight - land of the midnight sun this time of year. You can get a good sense of the amount of energy being consumed by different countries by looking at the night time illumination. If you hover on a particular satellite, you can see its orbital motion. Wow.
