Mike, with the Stromtank in use, is the character of the power cables connecting gear as strong as if they had a connection to the power grid?
We haven’t done any A/B’s yet.

Not that it happens a lot but how cool would that be to be able to listen to your system when the power is out. Plus being able to charge your phone or tablet.

Better than Shunyata Everest?
What about an Everest + Tesla Powerwall?![]()
I'll wait for Shunyata's answer to the Stromtank. Even if it takes years.
Perhaps Caelin and team will find a better technology and implementation.
Supercapacitors?
Solar is bad sonically. See Michael Fremer’s nightmares with it.

It is the quality of DC-AC converter. Stromtank is also a DC-AC converter. You can’t dismiss solar just like that. Many audiophiless install PV system have no issue on the sonic impact on their systems.
Yes Fremer had a back-up generator installed that caused increased noise. Ultimately the generator transfer was bypassed and the room was direct wired with far better quality cable, grounding, breaker box etc.
It is a very informative video and many of the issues existed before, but the generator installation made the issue far worse.
Ah! You’re right! It wasn’t solar it was the backup generator.
Ok, solar good! My bad.

I simply have a bike hooked up to my system and make my wife pedal to power it....
the amps plugged into this?
..I would go for S2500 to power front end..
