Since downsizing all my separates I have quite a few IsoAcoustic Orea Bronze discs sitting around my house. When I first got my Uniti Atom for my office, I tried 3 of these under the box but did not notice much of a difference.

However yesterday I experimented with 4 of these under the Uniti Nova in my main system and there was an immediate tightening and focus to the sound. It's definitely improved definition and imaging but I almost wonder if it has made the overall character of the Nova a little too lean.

I'm curious if anyone has ever done direct comparisons between Stillpoints and Oreas? I was happy with the Oreas on my tube separates but I'm wondering if the big jump in price is worth any refinement in performance?

You have already discovered that results will vary greatly. Pick up a set and try

I would suggest giving some EVPs from A/V Roomservice a try as well. They are quite a bit less expensive than Stillpoints.

And they work very well to attenuate vibration as shown here in this graph I plotted in JMP.

The EVPs are the blue trace measured as Power, RMS imparted to my audio rack shelf and measure on top of my Schiit Gumby DAC.
