Stein Music Carbon Fiber Record Mat

Well the Stein Music mat is ~ 1/10 as thick as the Boston Audio Carbon Mat, and appears to be more expensive, and I don't believe they are constructed of the same materials.

Mr. Stein recommends the Signature line for either of the two options.

I ordered the Carbon Fiber Pro tonight from Stein. Will report back.

I can't wait to hear what you think Mike. I heard two Stein mats (one was the carbon)at the LA show that seemed to improve the sound.

Ah man! I didn't realize you carry their products now, I ordered direct from Steinmusic.....

No problem. We just put things in place yesterday. It should be fun to try. I've read a good review of it.

We have tried it on the AN TT-3 and the Triangle Art Concerto. It breathes air into the soundstage and helps separate images without adding any brightness.

Thanks for sharing Peter. I look forward to receiving mine and trying it out, though I will have to adjust my setup given I am using a 3MM thick Achromat at the moment.

I have it on top of my 5mm Achromat. It's so thin I made no VTA adjustments. I'll test it further with and without the Achromat. We are getting two new turntables to review so I'll be a busy boy. "All work and no play..."

I just bought one of these famous babies - I hope my left kidney was worth it
