Status of Lumin playing Tidal Hi-Res FLAC

In case anybody still cares about MQA, I think Lumin app access to Tidal MAX is the best way to compare sound quality of MQA vs Hi-Res FLAC on Lumin models with analog output, although it is not exactly easy to find the same album available in both formats on Tidal. I guarantee that non-MQA album playback on Lumin does not go through MQA processing (the same cannot be said for some USB MQA DAC.)

Interesting enough , here in Denmark we only have the MQA version and non MQA version no MAX version on these.
But guess it will appear later.

Peter, can you expand on this, please?

If you mean tapping an album art, the display becomes the track list as usual. Is this what you're asking? Or about some MQA DAC from other brands universally applied MQA processing to PCM music regardless of whether they were MQA or non-MQA?

If I read your previous comment correctly, curious about whether MQA processing [via USB input] for non-MQA albums might potentially degrade sound quality.

Applying MQA decoder processing in DAC to non-MQA albums will alter its sound presentation. Some people may like this effect, but there are people who don't prefer that for many reasons. Especially in A/B comparison, this needs to be avoided.
