Last week a fuse blew (Audio Magic) in my Bryton BDP-2 server. I upgraded the firmware and ended up having to replace the flash card inside that stores the OS, neither of which is the focus of this post....when I powered it up the fuse vaporized. I replaced it with a standard Radio Shack so I know all is good.
i received my new AM fuse yesterday and along with it came a sample of Jerry's new "black out" paint that he formulated to apply to tubes. Jerry said I should expect a lot, with improvements throughout the spectrum. The paint can easily be washed off with water without issue if I am not impressed. So I figure why not give it a try. I did the Telefunken 12au7's and KT-120's in my amp/pre and decided to clean all the contacts in my system while I was at it. Anyway (sorry to be so anticlimactic) I ran out of my supply of Stabilant 22 so after I reapply later today I will be able to let everyone know what improvements come about.
