Spotify Going Lossless

Sorry - I didn't finish my thoughts while typing.

I agree Spotify does a great job of recommending music for me.

I don't feel Qobuz is conducive to that.

Tidal can use some improvement as well. All the lists they compile for me has the same songs with something new occasionally added. Artists radio stations look like they use a few bands with cuts off same album. The way I find new music is to spend Friday nights going through the genre tab listening to new albums for anything I like. As a user I get the feeling Tidal is struggling, sometimes a new album may appear on their phone app for two weeks, those used to get updated every week. It's hard to list everything but I've had them for years and I feel they just aren't keeping up with the service like in the past.

I listen to some obscure classic rock and from what I've heard and have had people look up Qobuz don't have some of the albums Tidal does. In fact, there's an album by The Vampires called Pacifica that's not on Qobuz for some reason. TBH I don't like change unless I'm forced to by some circumstance. If the sound was a large enough difference I could be swayed. As stated I actually do prefer the SQ of Tidal over Qobuz.

Spotify is good for suggesting new music you might like. You have to wonder if those algorithms are patented or other services can't find the talent to creat one or don't want to pay what it might cost.
