Great choice! And Allen's such a great person to deal with too!
I have been traveling on biz and waiting for one of 2-3 analog pros to commit to come to my house and set it up, one is a local friend who offered to come Monday but I am out of town again.
I did receive a new quadraspire bamboo shelf to put the table on so I am anxious to get it going.
I will post a comparison note once it is up and running. Should be able to directly compare innovation wood with spiral groove because I am moving the Goldfinger from innovation to SG 1.1. Should be fun.
Thank you for your reply! I'm really looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the comparison, as I am sure you are looking forward to finally being able to hear your new table. This will be the most meaningful comparison as you are fortunate enough to be able to listen to both set ups in the same system.
I've heard the Innovation Wood at the Axpona Show in Chicago last year and was impressed by it. I also heard the Immedia RPM1 (the predecessor to the Spiral Groove) many years ago and was very impressed with that table as well. But with so much time elapsed and two completely different systems, how can anyone really draw any meaningful conclusions.
So I truly am looking forward to hearing your thoughts about each of these tables, as I feel it will be the most constructive. As a side note, I will be planning on using my Benz Ruby Zebrawood cartridge….if you have a gut feeling as to which table it might be best suited for after your auditioning of the two.
Thanks again!
No Regrets
Thanks - will do. The Innovation is really good with warmer fuller sounding cartridges like the benz. It is very precise and open sounding.

The turntable is quite simple to set up, I seem to remember there is a 'how to' video ?
Keith.
Sorry should have read the whole thread, perhaps start with a cartridge that is expendable!
In the long term I would recommend everyone learns how to mount cartridges, it is liberating.
Keith.
I can understand your frustration. Somehow though, I feel it will be worth the wait!
I have 2 tables now and 3 cartridges to listen to so will wait to get it done right. Spent a lot of money on the cartridge and table so willing to wait for an expert hand to get it done. Thx to everyone for being patient on this journey with me. I totally appreciate the comments about learning to do it myself - I am a photographer and using, developing, printing, matting and framing brings even more satisfaction when I look at my prints but on this for me is about getting it done right. Especially if I end up selling a table I want the comparison to be sound.
There it sits still in the box. One of the guys who works at spiral groove was going to fly up and set it up for me. Waiting Waiting Waiting. If I had a Lumin I would be playing it now. Frustrated.
damn that is a thing of beauty!!!!!!!! all great tables on their own but just heaven all in one place. congratulations!!!!!! the spiral groove is my favorite!!! just from looking. lol!!! i heard one with ca titanium ,i cant even imagine the newer model with the goldfinger. great setups!!!!!!!
Had a master analogue guru (in the league of Michael Fremer) set up my tables last night. I never realized how good they could sound. The Spiral Groove SG 1.1 with Goldfinger Statement, the AMG v12 with Benz LP-S and the Innovation Wood/Graham Phantom with Kansui. Totally dialed. Huge soundscapes. Speakers disappeared. Robust and detailed and analogue goodness!
