At the Suncoast Audiophile Society there are a few excellent speaker manufacturers. I got to talking to a couple of them and they buy their parts from:

In Europe Visaton from Germany is quite popular for DIY and I've used their MKT caps to recap my AR-11s. A famous OB design with Visaton parts is the Dark Star that is base don the Visaton B200 driver.

Madisound is a very reliable company with good customer service. I made a few purchases from them in the past.
