Hey all, I was wondering how members here break in their speakers? My former audio guy had a method where he turned the system on, set the CD player to repeat and left it alone for several weeks, only slowly raising the volume.
Another friend said no, do what my first friend does but just set the volume on a moderate level, for numerous week and leave it alone.
Finally, another friend who is breaking in a new pair of Focals, and has been playing the speakers for about 12 hours a day and 12 hours to let the speaker rest. He changes music styles regularly (Classical, Jazz, Rock) and slowly raises the volume gradually.....
Any thoughts?? AND, any different ideas are welcome!!!
Cheers,
