Hi, anyone tried getting their carts re-tipped by Soundsmith? What were your experiences compared to the original? What stylus and cantilever did you use? Thanks

I've used Soundsmith in the past to re-tip my Lyra Helikon Mono cartridge. My experience was outstanding. Normal rebuild time is 8-14 weeks, depending on our workload. You can either call or check status online.
My boron cantilever was intact and just needed a diamond re-tip. I would say the sound is the same. I really can't tell any difference. What cartridge are you looking to rebuild?
Hi thanks. Nothing to rebuild now but knowing this makes me worry less about rebuild cost of some of the cartridges. There seems to be good feedback on soundsmith for various carts including Lyra, dynavector, and koetsu
