Nice weather in California :)

If it's quiet enough, you can get clean measurements without having to use gating, which you would have to in a room to remove early reflections contaminating the measurements.
Outdoors is a somewhat of a big anechoic chamber.

Off-axis measurements; for most rooms it is as important as on-axis measurements.
...A well behaved speaker tracks his dispersion pattern linearly and tightly together even far off-axis with his on-axis curve.

* Personally it is one of the attributes I'm always looking for.
