Yes, I keep reading that too. Not sure. I have 7 WE300b’s. I really like the Takasuki’s and the ELROG’s (before they gave problems). Have to say these Sophia Royal Princess are right up there with the Taks/ELROG’s. Not as fleshed out in the mids as the WE’s, but damn good.

KR audio is supposed to be pretty good also, but once I went to WE, I stopped searching.
 
They do sound good, but a word of caution. They are not a very rugged tube and can have significantly shortened life if the maximum plate voltage is run close to or exceeding the max. Sophia once told a customer of mine to not run over 400V plate to cathode even though the max is 450V
Do not use in Mastersound or Allnic amps.
