Sonus faber venere s

If I'm going Sonus Faber I am not cheaping out and going the Venere route. Seems counterproductive. Granted I have only heard the Veneres (not impressed) and not the Venere S so they may sound fantastic but of all of the amazing proven products SF has offered over the years I'd never go Venere S. If I can't afford the other models then I need to look at other manufacturers.

You haven't heard them, wouldn't have them, prefer other brands because....

Sorry but I have to tell you that your analysis is not accurate. There are public for all the models maybe you are not a Venere client

Maybe Cremonesse ?
:)

I could assure you that the sound of the S is very similar as a Olympica II
For almost 1/2 the price

For me that's a good deal for people that can't afford the Upper models

The sales person and staff set them up, turned on my amp and player, put in a Nina Simone CD, and we began our initial listen.

Ah.....aren't they a bit..... Ummm.......harsh? I hesitated asking. Just wait, replied my salesman.

I swear, within 15 minutes, the harshness went away. Within an hour, the speakers sounded good. Now, it's been 3 hours, they sound very natural and vocals are very present. My salesman said, "By the end of this weekend if they don't sound really really good to me, he'll take them back. I thought to myself, "you've got nothing to worry about".

Does anyone use these with a Devialet ?
I am thinking about some new speakers and these are within my price range
