Is it that important that a royal has a baby that the whole world stops revolving? The reports are all over the place. Kate Middleton doesn't have what it takes to hold Lady Diana's coat as far as I'm concerned. She is just a poser. Perhaps she is really nice in person, I don't know, but she is no Lady Diana! Someone in my office made the horrific comment that at least Middleton is educated unlike Lady Diana, who was uneducated. That is one of the meanest comments I've heard in a long time! Lady Diana had more moxie in her little finger than Middleton does in her whole body. Lady Diana was not afraid to spend time with the public and didn't look down on people (one of the big reasons everybody except the royals loved her). Let's see Middleton go to those links in truth and not just some photo op!! I don't see it happening. They claim that Middleton is much like Lady Diana and she is loved by the rest of the family. Well, the rest of the family hated Diana! So now the world stops revolving because Middleton pops out a unit!? Please, let's get on with life shall we? I blame the media 99% of course. I'm sure Middleton and party are thinking, "oh please people, leave me alone, I'm busy" as well I wouldn't blame her.

I think you need to look at it from the perspective of the Brits. The Royal family is the pride of the nation for many in England. And for what it's worth, I would much rather see a nation talking about the sheer joy of the birth of a baby than the sex tape of a Kardashian. Just saying....

I think you need to give Kate a break. Just how much moxie and experience with the public did Diana have when she first married Charles? I would say about the same as Kate has right now. Give her time. How quickly we judge. :peace:

Nobody is judging here Doug; it's the monarchy after all! :D ...And the journalists must follow it at any price.
...The entire world ought to know. It's just the way it is.

* I love Kate; she is very very very pretty, and she is very very very nice. :) ...To a healthy baby!

Like I said at the end, Kate is probably really nice away from all the pomp and circumstance. As mentioned, over time perhaps she will have more opportunity to be similar to Diana. I've had a lot of good acquaintances in the UK over my time. I used to talk with Jamie Oliver and some of his close friends quite a bit and all are the nicest people.:D

I like Kate, she's young and still has to develop her royal agenda, but her baby is one of about 367,000 that said "hello" to the world today!

About 153,000 people said "goodbye" today.

I can certainly see the celebration and ceremony. The family has known its lineage for hundreds of years, and how many families can claim to have ruled a country, even as a figurehead for so many centuries?
