thanks for the comments.

its still a work in progress. Need to order some more room treatments to do the ceiling, and also need some bass traps.

Hey JBG, great looking room. For my findings, the first reflection point on the ceiling is very important, after that i gave up on it. Even threw away my bass traps, went to the local land-fill. Drapes with sound absorbing backing 360º & the ceiling first reflection, after that, tune it how you see it...:)

thanks for the tip there mate.
just wondering if i should put absorption panels up there or a combo of diffusers and absorbers

I have never used diffusers, so wouldnt mind giving them a shot

Johnny me boy, that room looks like it should grace the cover of some interior design magazine. I think some women might even like the looks of it. My room would be published in some sort of man-haters magazine to show how crude the breed can be.

thanks again to everyone for the kind words.

I'll take some more pics of the full room once its complete.
Havent settled on the final equipment rack positioning as yet, at the moment, its at the back of the room, but thinking to move it to the side to keep my cable runs shorter.
Though, running balanced shouldnt make a huge difference

Paul

i listen to a wide veriety of music, blues, jazz, rock, electronica, really just about anything apart from classical.
Just could never get into it.

They do indeed Paul, and i have tried many times to appreciate classical music, but just cant seem to get into it. Not sure why.
Though there are a few pieces i can easily sit down and listen to.
